Pool & spa service

Know where to start.
Even when your pool doesn’t.

Equipment diagnosis and service for Madison and Huntsville homeowners. Choose the part of your pool that needs attention—or describe the problem if you aren’t sure.

Pool heaters

When the water won’t warm up, get the issue identified before choosing the next step. Pool Whisperer offers a free on-site heater diagnosis and clear repair and replacement options.

Pumps & circulation

A pump problem can show up as noise, interrupted operation, air in the system or water moving differently than before. Those symptoms can involve more than the pump itself.

What to tell me

Tell me whether the pump starts, whether it stays running and what changed. A photo of the equipment label and any displayed message can help when I discuss the visit.

What happens next

The next step may involve addressing a fault, repairing the equipment or discussing a replacement. Don’t buy a replacement solely because the symptom points toward the pump; have the system looked at first.

Filters & water flow

A filter concern may start with pressure changes, visible leaks, debris returning to the pool or weak circulation. Cleaning, a damaged component and a wider circulation issue call for different responses.

What to tell me

Share what you notice, how long it has been happening and what maintenance was done recently. If you know the filter type or model, include that when you contact me.

What happens next

Ask about the work proposed for your filter and whether cleaning, a component repair or replacement is appropriate. Service scope depends on the equipment and condition.

Salt systems

A salt system is part of your pool’s chlorination setup. An alert, unexpected output or a cell concern needs to be considered alongside the equipment settings and pool conditions.

What to tell me

Let me know the system model if available, the message shown and whether anything changed recently. A warning alone does not establish that the cell must be replaced.

What happens next

I can discuss diagnosis and the service or replacement options that fit the findings. No particular brand or dealer relationship is implied.

Controls & automation

When a schedule doesn’t run, equipment won’t respond or a control behaves unexpectedly, the issue may involve settings, communication or the equipment being controlled.

What to tell me

Describe which functions work, which do not and how you normally control the pool. Note any recent setting changes, outages or equipment work.

What happens next

The goal is to identify the issue and explain a practical next step for the existing system. Compatibility and replacement choices depend on the installed equipment.

Cleaners, valves & equipment controls

A cleaner that stops moving, misses areas or performs differently may need equipment attention or a look at the circulation it depends on. Valve problems can also change where water moves.

What to tell me

Tell me what type of cleaner you use, what it does now and what it used to do. For valves, describe the flow or control issue rather than forcing a component that is stuck.

What happens next

I work on pool cleaners and valves as part of the equipment service scope. Discuss the specific model and problem so the right visit can be planned.

Not sure which service fits?

Describe the symptoms and your general location. I’ll discuss the scope before planning a visit. Pool construction and renovation are outside our service offering.

Working with water, electricity and heat

Don’t open electrical or gas equipment to investigate a fault. If equipment appears unsafe, stop using it and follow the manufacturer’s safety guidance.
